We have been working with the Beckhoff TwinCAT system for a number of years utilising the power of the PC based controllers to create complete integrated automation solutions from using the windows XP embedded and Windows CE platforms. The flexibilty of the system has allowed us to replace complete systems including SCADA, HMI,PLC control, saftey PLC and motion control elements with a single Beckhoff controller. We have even been able to achive signifiicant performance increases with the single integrated system.
