Automation 4 Ltd implement Medialon Manager show control system at the BBC Scotland Pacific Quay development.

The Medialon Manager V4 show control system is used to control a new public visitor attraction used as a showcase for BBC Scotland.
Visitors to the attraction can interact with live BBC content, find out about the devlopment of broadcast technologies and learn about current BBC services. Two interactive cinema booths are used to showcase high definition BBC content.

The Automation 4 system is in control of over 50 PCs running custom Flash applications, 14 IP setop boxes, 2 high definition video servers, 12 Panasonic projectors, a BSS soundweb and a Congo Jr lighting console. In additon to the AV equiptment, Automation 4 have implemented control of a motorised hoist system used to automatically raise and lower the roof of the cinema pods syncronous to the show.

The BBC Scotland Pacific Quay visitor centre area is also used for filming and for running special events. To enable maximum flexibilty Automation 4 implemented a scheduler function that is used to automatically call preset editable themes. Each theme transforms the environment by adjusting lighting, audio levels and changing streamed content.
